Nokia X6 vs Oppo F7

Nokia X6 vs Oppo F7 – which one you should pick this year? The race of budget smartphones is quite fast. The market for budget mobile phones to receive a wide range of options every year and this is not very easy to pick a best one. With tons of new options out there, we should take the support of comparisons so that we can easily find out which one meets our needs impressively. Furthermore, normally Chinese tech giants have flooded the market mostly with different options and that’s why we are focusing on top Chinese phones in this article. HMD Global from China and Oppo – these are two popular brands working to bring you the best options at a very low price. Oppo brings tall phones with excellent cameras and Nokia is trying to recover its position with trendy stuff. In the segment of mid-priced phones, Oppo has dropped the Oppo F7 and HMD Global is shining with Nokia X6. We are comparing here these two handsets and in the result, you should be able to pick wisely.

Design and Display

The market is, at this time, receiving a number of new mobiles with the so-called notch. This is a cut-out at top of the display for having a different look and feel equipped with important stuff such as front-facing camera and some sensors. The Oppo F7 and the Nokia X6, both have a notch, but they look different from each other.

The Oppo F7 is a sleek smartphone with 7.8mm thickness and you can pick it in black and red color options. It has a 6.23-inches large display and it does feel quite gigantic to use. This is 19:9 ratio display with 1080 x 2280 pixels resolution. The Nokia X6 has a little smaller touchscreen, 5.8-inches display with same 18:9 ratio and 1080 x 2280 pixels resolution. You can pick this handset in blue, black and white colors that look attractive. The front side of both handsets is black, entirely, no matter which color you pick. If you live to have a bigger vision when using some productivity apps, the Oppo F7 can suit your personality. But if you feel a normal-sized phone is OK for your daily routine, the Nokia X6 can be your impressive choice. It does not feel rather small, overall the F7 has an 82.5% screen to body ratio and Nokia X6 is grabbing attention with 81.5% screen.

Hardware

The Oppo F7 is equipped with a MediaTek Helio 660 processor containing eight cores (4x Cortex A73 2.0 GHz + 4x Cortex A53 2.0 GHz). The Nokia X6 has an Octa-Core chipset clocked at 1.8 GHz. You can pick these phones with 4GB or 6GB RAM, the F7 is available with 64GB and 128GB storage options and X6 is with 32GB and 64GB options. If you ask from me, I feel the F7 is a little faster and have a huge capacity to store your valuable data. You should not run into roadblocks when switching between different apps. The Nokia X6 is not a bad choice as well. But it can irritate sometimes and even it does not make you happy with a 128GB ROM. But among connectivity options, it can feel a better choice with Bluetooth 5.0 and USB Type C options. The F7 has still old micro USB port and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity (I do not think the connection and version of Bluetooth is a big matter, this is just a minor point many of us can ignore but USB C can be an important discussion when choosing). More, the F7 has a 3400mAh battery you cannot charge fast. And the Nokia X6 has just 3060mAh battery you can charge fast as well. If you do not take care of fast charging, the F7 could lead the game.

The Camera

Oppo is an expert in making people with amazing camera setups on its phones. The Oppo F7 has a 16MP rear-sided camera equipped with a f/1.8 aperture and PDAF feature. The Nokia X6 has a little point to impress, two cameras, 16MP with f/2.0 aperture and 5MP with f/2.4 aperture. It has a dual-tone flash which does offer extensive light when shooting in the ground. I do feel this is one nice choice you can buy. The F7 has a 25MP camera on its front side with f/2.0 aperture and X6 is making happy with the just 16MP camera. If you compare result and shots of these phones, they are almost similar until or unless you prefer front camera over rear side due to any reason.

Verdict

So which one you should pick? It depends on personal choices, both are decent handsets but the X6 could feel a little expensive. If you do love to have a large sized phone with faster performance and decent cameras, the F7 could be your best choice. But if you are a fan of normal-sized phones with a good camera setup, the X6 could make you happy.
