Moto G (3rd Gen) Starts Getting Android Marshmallow In Europe

When we last heard of the Moto G (3^rd Gen), it was getting updated to the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS in India. The roll out began last month. Previous to that, the best-selling device from Motorola received the same update in the United States and Canada. Now, the company has announced that the Marshmallow update will be reaching devices in Europe.

One of the biggest changes in the mobile software update that touched down in Europe is that the software version has been upgraded to 24.41.33.en.EU from the 24.11.25.en.US that was released to users in the United States and India. The update is a newer one but the exact details are still unknown. Some of the known features that come with Android Marshmallow are; Doze, Google Now on Tap, App Permissions, Adoptable Storage, Enhanced RAM, Volume Controls and Android Pay.

The update is rolling out to devices via OTA and users will be getting an update notification soon. For users who have not got the update yet, they can do so manually by going to

Settings >>about phone >> System updates.

Specifications of the Moto G (3^rd Gen)

Sporting a 5 inch HD IPS LCD display that has a resolution of 1280x720p, the device has some of the best viewing angles on a device in its range. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and is powered by a Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor that clocks in at 1.4GHz. There is 2GB of RAM and a 16GB internal storage capacity that can be expanded to 32GB through a microSD card. On the back, the Moto G (3^rd Gen) is fitted with a 13 megapixel camera that comes with autofocus and dual LED flash. There is a 5 megapixel camera on the front that shoots some very impressive selfies. Keeping the device alive through the day and more is a 2470mAh battery.
